CLUBE NAVAL DE LEÇA

SINCE 1960

The Organising Authority will be the Clube Naval de Leça and the main Sponsor is The City of Matosinhos.

CNL has competition sailors in Optimist, Vaurien, Laser 4.7, laser Radial, Platu 25 and Yacht Class. In Vaurien Class we have Duarte Logarinho and Ricardo Cardoso POR - 36080 that have been sailing in the Vaurien World's since 1995. In Optimist class we have national top sailors, the same happens in Laser class, 7 sailors and one of them, João Marinho da Cunha POR-185072 has become National Hope 2008 by the Portuguese Institute for Sports .

The club also teaches adults . The baptism is done in a RAQUERO Boat with capacity to 5 adults. The next step is in Vaurien. That is the boat we choose to teach with due to various reasons, hundreds of our sailors learned, since the beginning of the club, in vaurien class and we don't intend to change this.

During summer vacations Clube Naval de Leça and the City Hall provide to the population of Matosinhos the Summer Sailing Courses. Last year we've had about 200 inscription from June to August. The boats used were Optimist, Vaurien and Raquero.
